Funko to Launch Jay and Silent Bob NFT Collection on the Droppp Platform

Funko Inc. disclosed that it will be getting into the NFT trade three months ago with the launch of the Jay and Silent Bob NFT. The firm announced this when it obtained a major possession stake with the NFT start-up– Tokenwave.

During that period, the CEO of Funko– Brian Mariotti described that “Funko pop digital” has what it takes to become a “game changer”.

Funko announced on Friday that it will launch an NFT collection with the Jay and Silent Bob characters from Kevin Smith Clerk movies.

Funko to Launch Jay and Silent Bob NFTs as Well as their Real Versions

The publicly listed pop culture product company– Funko– announced that it will release the classic characters from the Clerk videos– Jay and Silent Bob.

Furthermore, the Jay and Silent Bob characters are popularly known for starring in Clerk movies. But they also feature in most Kevin Smith Askewniverse films.

The two have also starred in their movie Jay and Silent Bob fascinating Groovy Cartoon Film, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Again.

In a tweet, Funko notified the public that it will release the Jay and Silent Bob NFT collection on the 26th of July 2022.

Also, from the Funko official website, Funko will release the Jay and Silent NFT Bob collection as well as the real versions of the NFTs.

Funko Partners with Other Brands to Launch its New NFT Collection 

Before Funko announced the launch of the Jay and Silent Bob NFTs, it partnered with top brands like DC Comics and Warner Bros.

Funko NFTs are just like the products they sell in their stores which have Funko’s unique model.

Users will access the NFTs on the Droppp platform and will get them via the Wax blockchain community. In addition to this, Funko will display “immersive fan-focused neighborhood expertise” from the 21st of July to the 24th of July 2022 at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

Conclusion

Funko has joined the list of brands such as Adidas, Arizona iced tea, Mcdonald’s e.t.c, venturing into the world of NFTs and the Metaverse.

Although top brands and celebrities are adopting NFTs, the sales of NFTs have declined by 49% compared to what it was in June.
