HTC Launches Metaverse SmartPhone With Crypto and NFT Wallet

HTC, a smartphone manufacturer, just launched a new smartphone called Desire 22 Pro. Although HTC has not been active in the smartphone market for a while now, it took a major step by launching a smartphone that is compatible with the metaverse.

Desire 22 Pro also known as the “Viverse phone” is the new HTC version of Desire 21 Pro. These groups of smartphones are compatible with the metaverse.

The Desire 22 Pro Smartphone is also sold with the newly launched HTC Vive flow VR headset which allows users to have a clear view of the virtual world and experience what the Metaverse is all about.

The VR headset also works with other Smartphones but the Desire 22 Pro offers special features when used with it.

Features of the Desire 22 Pro Smartphone

The Desire 22 Pro has come with features such as applications that give you access to your metaverse contents which includes both crypto and NFTs.

It also has a Viverse phone app that allows you to buy NFTs from a virtual marketplace and develop your virtual space. It also has a built-in wallet for Ethereum and Polygon assets.

The Desire 22 Pro has a pixel resolution of 1080×2412 and a 6.6-inch 120HZ LCD display and a Gorilla glass protection.

It also has a storage capacity of 128 GB and 8 GB RAM together with a Qualcomm snapdragon 695 chip.

To keep the device running, it has a 4,520mAh battery with a fast 18 W and 15 W wired and wireless charging respectively.

Behind, it consists of three cameras with the main camera of about 64 MP, an ultra-wide lens of 13 MP, and a depth sensor of 5MP. On the front, it has a front camera of 32 MP for taking selfies.

The smartphone also features a fingerprint located by the side for biometrics, 5G, and IPX7 rating. 

Final Thoughts

This is not the first time that HTC is launching a cryptophone. In 2018, it launched the Exodus 1 smartphone that has a built-in Bitcoin wallet.

After three years, HTC has made a name for itself by being the first to launch a smartphone that is compatible with the metaverse.

The Desire 22 Pro will first be sold in Taiwan on July 1st for TWD 11,990  and then in Europe on August 1st for €459.
