Kia America released a new commercial for TV that features NFTs from Dead Army Skeleton Klub. The 30-second national ad narrates the company’s new car, the Kia Soul. This commercial created by the David&Goliath studio shows animated characters from the game Dead Army Skeleton driving around town. The project involves Dead Army Skeleton Klub making 10,100 NFTs for Kia. The commercial will display QR codes users can use to download these NFTs.

The company has partnered with Sweet, a fast-growing NFT marketplace where people can trade, buy, and sell NFTs.

This isn’t Kia America’s first time

This is not the first time NFT is featuring in a TV commercial. NFT characters seem to have a higher retention rate, which is why more brands are taking advantage of them. Adidas has done something similar. The company worked with Bored Ape Yacht Club to make a commercial with several NFTs.

Kia has also used NFTs in the past to advertise their products. The mega brands, very successful Super Bowl campaign for the mega-brand had links to NFTs. To promote its new line of electric vehicles, it gave away 10,000 Robo Dog NFTs.

More about this TV Commercial

The ad was to promote the new 2023 Kia Soul. It displays three animated characters from the Dead Army Skeleton Klub driving around town in the car. They stop at a fast food place called “Built for Whoever You Are” and ordered food through the drive-through window.

The clothes, accessories, and body parts of all three characters are different. One is wearing a bandana, another is carrying a football helmet, and the last one is gold. When Dead Skeletonwas first released, it had nearly 7,000 of these 3D characters, each of which was different in several ways.

Russell Wager, the vice president of marketing at Kia America, talked about how NFTs are used in the new ad and why he thinks it’s a good way to market:

“The Soul is as unique as the NFTs, and Kia as a brand is always coming up with new ideas to stay ahead,” he said.

OpenSea, one of the biggest NFT marketplaces, is where you can find the Dead Army Skeleton Klub. Each token is called a “3D character ready for the metaverse.” DASK holders have 100% rights to the NFTS. Klub’s members have access to special drops, merchandise, experiences, and more.
