As the idea of physical trading cards continues to move into the digital world, the world’s biggest football media platform, OneFootball, has made a deal with Italy’s top league, Serie A, to work together around the world.

What is in store the Serie A for this Partnership?

With this partnership, Serie A’s 530 million fans around the world will be able to start collecting, owning, and trading iconic moments from the league’s games, such as goals, tackles, passes, shots, saves, or memorable celebrations. Of course, they will digitize and “card” these moments with blockchain technology and NFTs.

The partnership also includes officially licensed cards based on the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, two other Italian domestic trophies, as well as historic and iconic moments from the history of Italian football.

By August 1, all the Official Video Moment NFTs for the 2022/23 season will be shown for the first time. The collection will then be available to people with early access to the OneFootball Aera Marketplace on August 29. The rest of the public will be able to get it on September 5. The trading cards will be sold in NFT packs. Here, fans can now sign up if they want to be an early access customer.

All the NFTs released from the partnership will be live on Flow, which is the blockchain that will support collections of digital assets from the NFL, NBA, and more.

What does the future look like with this deal?

Because of this deal, the next Lega Serie A season will have more than 1300 new and unique moments of top action. The agreement also covers Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana games. Fans will be able to buy packs, and when they open them, they will find out what amazing match moments they have won.

OneFootball has also bought the rights to some of Serie A’s most famous historical moments. Soon, Aera by OneFootball will have a lot of old videos from Lega Serie A clubs. There will be hundreds of them.

In the 2021/22 season, there were over 570 hours of match play, 1089 goals, 142 penalties, and hundreds of breathtaking, high-octane moments of some of the best football played by the most talented players on the planet. As part of OneFootball’s promise, “No One Gets You Closer,”. Fans will be able to buy these products next season. Fans can sign up now at Aera by OneFootball, and the first digital collectible product displayed on the 1st of August, 2022.
