Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform at the annual Music Video Awards in the Otherside Metaverse, bringing Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs with them.
“From the D to the LBC,” their newest songs, will be played. The VMA performance will take place in Yuga Labs’ Otherside Metaverse. This is because MTV and Yuga Labs are in partnership.
Sometimes, you might think that Snoop Dogg is the only celebrity responsible for bringing NFTs to the world and the mainstream. He seems to be everywhere except where babies sleep.
Eminem Nominated for a VMA
Snoop Dogg and Eminem are no strangers to the MTV Awards. Eminem has been nominated sixty times, which makes him the second most nominated artist in history. Snoop Dogg has been nominated for thirteen Video Music Awards.
But Sunday’s performance will be the first time the rap superstars have ever performed together on VMA, and it will be the first time in over a decade. Also, organizers say it will be something “no one has ever seen before.”
“D to the LBC” is up for “Best Hip Hop Song” at the VMAs. The over 46 million-viewed YouTube video shows 2D animations of their Bored Apes NFTs.

In the last year, Bored Ape NFTs and Yuga Labs, broke all records for the number of NFTs collected. They are likely the second most popular name in NFTs. You ask, “Why second?” Well, I’m betting on Snoop Dogg himself to be the top dog.
The rap legends are no strangers to Bored Ape NFTs. They are both parts of a group of celebrities who own Bored Ape NFTs, in addition to Madonna and Justin Beiber.
Eminem bought Bored Ape #9055 in December for $452,000, while Snoop Dogg’s DeathRowNFTs owns Bored Ape #6723.
The project has been in the mainstream due to Celebrity influence. So, when something new comes into the BAYC ecosystem, it’s a big deal. Some of these are OtherDeed NFTs and where the virtual performance will take place.
OtherSide Metaverse
The venue, The Otherside, is being developed in partnership with Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands, the company behind SandBox. At the moment, only OtherDeed NFT holders, which on launch brought in over $310m in sales, and selected developers are allowed to play the MMORPG game.
